Classroom VolunteersClassroom volunteers are needed for filling Friday Folders, library, computer lab, field trips, and for class parties. I will send out sign up schedules for classroom help via Class Tag. Volunteer sign up forms for field trips will usually be sent home through hard copies in the Thursday Folder.
All volunteers must have volunteer clearance and sign in at the office to get a volunteer lanyard/sticker before coming to the classroom, library, or lunchroom. To see a list of available volunteer times, please click here to view the sign-up genius page. ** Important Volunteer Clearance Information** |

VOLUNTEER CLEARANCE LEVELS
SRVUSD has implemented a system for all adults who wish to volunteer on a school campus or drive/chaperone day and overnight field trips and athletic events. This Volunteer Management System features a web-based software application that allows the District and all schools to better track and to provide the appropriate level of clearance for school volunteers. are THREE levels of volunteer clearance and tracking:
1. Classroom Helpers and other on-campus school volunteers: This is the most basic level, and includes a search of the Sex Offender Registry.
2. Field Trip Drivers: At this level, the District will obtain a 10-0year driving history and DMV "Pull Notification" as well as a search of the Sex Offender Registry.
3. Overnight chaperones: This level also includes fingerprinting. (This will not be needed for our class, as we have no overnight trips)
HOW TO GET VOLUNTEER CLEARANCE
ALL adult volunteers will need to go through this process. The District will NOT be asking parents to incur any of the costs associated with these clearance processes. For more information, and to begin the application process, go to http://www.srvusd.net/parents/volunteers
